The other day while driving through the small town of Washington, NH I spotted three quarters of a downed tree when some type of carving on top of it.
As I pulled over to the side of the road I spotted this carved wooden eagle proudly on display. The pencil tracings were still part of the wooden carving but the eagle looked majestic.
<We have a pair of loons who have made their home at the lake where we spend most of our summer.
They begin their search for fish starting very early in the morning.
Their mournful cries can be heard across the lake. If one is not familiar with their ‘voice’ you might think there is a large wild animal present.
Five of my photos were recently entered into our local Fairfield County Calendar Photography Contest.
Many have entered and I’m only an amateur photographer but so far the feedback has been very good.
Keep your fingers crossed for me!!
< I haven't posted much in the last month because we have been entertaining our sons and grandsons.
Everyone is a Red Sox fan, and of course, a trip to Fenway was a must…. Grandpa went too and lots of fun was had by all.
