Spring has arrived in New England.
Wherever you look crocuses are blooming, daffodils are bobbing their yellow heads, the forsythia bushes are a vibrant yellow and magnolia trees and the plum trees are flowering.

Our local photo exhibit reception was tonight.
It was great fun with a band and lots of food.
Neither my grandson nor I won any awards with our photos. The photos submitted were amazing and we were glad to be part of exhibit.

My grandson, Marc, and I entered our local photo contest. This contest has been in existence for 15 years.
Tomorrow is the reception with a band, awards, and food.
There were 50 youth photos and 140 adult photos (both professional and amateur). The photos are amazing!!
I’m sure that we won’t win but what fun to see the photographic work.
Will try to post our photos after tomorrow.

I am very impressed that my photo was chosen once again.

Throughout Connecticut we had blizzard like conditions and heavy snow.
Northern Connecticut had the most in the state but we in the southern part received more than 24 inches.
It’s beautiful to look at but difficult to remove.
The one good factor is that there were minimal power outages even though the winds continued through the night.

My photo “White on White Christmas” is in the online journal Front Porch Review and is listed under Contents and Visual Arts.
Every quarter there is a different photo on the cover of a house with a front porch. (Haven’t had the special honor yet)
The poems are great as is all the content of the issue.
Hope you enjoy it.
